Victory For Women

Victoryforwomen.org celebrates the voices of women in the bleeding disorders community. It’s a place for you to share your creative expression of all kinds: photography, blog posts, stories, poems…whatever you feel captures you. A place where women in the community can express themselves, ask their questions, share their challenges, and above all, celebrate the victory of standing up and being heard.

Victory for Women is part of the  National Hemophilia Foundation’s health initiative that creates and provides support, education and resources for women and providers in the bleeding disorders community.  The main goal is to address critical issues and ultimately improve quality of life for women in the community.  All Victory for Women programs and content are developed and/or reviewed by our Victory for Women Taskforce, which is made up of both consumers and providers.  We can’t wait to hear from you! Learn more on the website: www.victoryforwomen.org

Foundation for Women & Girls

In 2010, the Foundation for Women & Girls with Blood Disorders (FWGBD), a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, was launched to serve as a single site, a single source where physicians and healthcare providers can obtain information. Provider education, across disciplines, will be the focus of the Foundation. This will benefit women and girls by educating their providers. The Foundation is dedicated to achieving the correct diagnosis and treatment of blood disorders and accompanying reproductive problems in women and girls with von Willebrand disease (VWD), other factor deficiencies, thrombophilias, sickle cell disease (SCD), hemoglobinopathies, immune thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) and anemias. FWGBD is an innovative organization that will build the education resource base in these important areas.
