Speaker: Dr. Richard Lemons

Dr. Richard Lemons is the medical director and division chief and a professor of pediatrics in the Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at the University of Utah. He is also director of the pediatric hematology oncology fellowship program at the University of Utah. Dr. Lemons received his medical degree from George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, DC and completed a fellowship in cancer biology research at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland, and a fellowship in tumor cell biology at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. He also has a PhD degree in chemistry from Pennsylvania State University. He is currently a principal investigator for several clinical studies related to pediatric malignancies and pediatric hematologic disorders, including a gene therapy study for hemophilia B.
