Christine M. Carroll was a woman of extraordinary resilience, boundless creativity, and unwavering love. Born on August 17, 1949, in Philadelphia, Christine faced the challenge of living with type 3 von Willebrand disease, a serious blood clotting disorder. However, she refused to let this condition define her life. Instead, she lived with an indomitable spirit that inspired everyone around her.
Christine was a lifelong learner and high achiever, excelling in every endeavor she pursued. She graduated at the top of her classes in both high school and college, earning her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in English and education. Her passion for knowledge and teaching led her to a career as an English teacher at Neshaminy High School, where she touched the lives of countless students with her dedication and wisdom.
In 2000, Christine, along with her husband Tom and son Tom Jr., co-founded Crossing Vineyards and Winery in Washington Crossing, Pennsylvania. As a certified specialist of wine, Christine played a vital role in the winery’s success and became a staunch advocate for local wineries. Her influence extended beyond the vineyard, as she served on the board of the Pennsylvania Winery Association and authored a popular monthly column, Through the Grapevine, for nearly two decades.
